Franciscan World Youth Day Contingent

The theme of this year’s World Youth Day is “Mary arose and went with haste” (Lk1:39). 62 young pilgrims, of which 22 are parishioners of St Mary of the Angels, will be led by Friars Aiden, Robin and Sixtus to World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal.

World Youth Day will be a time of encountering the Lord through different experiences and different forms of catechesis, meeting pilgrims from different countries and sharing our lives as companions on this journey towards love. The pilgrims are bringing your prayer intentions with them as they embark on a journey to encounter Christ.
