JANUARY 2022 Outreach Office Bulletin

Hi! I’m Paul, the new Outreach Office Manager for St Mary’s and I will be sharing with you the latest developments in the Outreach Office. You can also watch the video above for a quick overview.

During the Advent and Christmas season in 2021, the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SSVP) and the Family Support Services Group (FSS), together served more than 100 needy families with dry rations, milk powder and diapers.

Our Pastoral Care Group gathered a strong team of 60 volunteers from various ministries to bring Holy Communion to 53 home-bound brothers and sisters. In December alone, our parish's "outreach and solidarity fund" helped support 9 families who were in need of financial aid.

As such, our Outreach Office remains the heart of our Franciscan parish, in our mission to serve the poor among us. All these were not possible without your support and your very generous giving.

In January, Caritas Singapore signed a memorandum of understanding with St Mary’s - giving our Outreach Office access to more social service community partners to do more for those who need help in our community.

We look forward to working with you, whether it’s us serving you, or to have you come onboard to serve others in many ways.

In the words of St Francis of Assisi, “Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received - only what you have given.”
